Welcome to the apprentices' blog! As part of the IAS spirit of
not following the herd, they have recently recruited 5 apprentices.
We've already been led into the coliseum of B2B and this blog is
just to let you know how we've been getting on. So I'll introduce
us. There's Lucy, Tom, Victoria, Katie and Angus (me).
Lucy Morrice, 18, is from the clear skies and cobbled streets of
Edinburgh. She's Scottish, friendly and she always gives you help.
As if where she came from wasn't nice enough, she now gets to work
in Bollington, surrounded by the sweet Cheshire Hills. As an
Account Services Apprentice, Lucy keeps the clients jolly and helps
make us a happy and profitable B2B agency. She's been sussing out
the market and the climate of the industry, as well as scheduling
for clients and advertising campaigns.
Victoria Shaw, 19, from Macclesfield, is the Strategic Planning
Apprentice in our midst. She's constantly in high-spirits and eager
to do a good job. She gets on with her work with a great vitality
and enthusiasm. Under the stewardship of cunning Strategic Planner
Alistair Bedford, Vic implements BAM -Brand Asset Management -
looking at the climate of the market, controlling the essence of a
brand, what it is and what it stands for. You can read about BAM on
the homepage of our website...
Tom Pearson, 18, is from Wilmslow and the Account Services
Apprentice. He has a knack of solving a zillion problems at once.
He's a handy apprentice, despite (unfortunately) being in the Man
United brigade. The work the Account Services faction do anchors
the agency. As part of being the Account Services Apprentice, he
racks up programmes and Marketing timetables, along with research
and investigation into the competition.
Katie Bucknell, 18, is from Macclesfield as well - almost Vic's
neighbour. Bright and breezy, she's chilled out and brings a fresh
mind to the creative department. In her time as Copywriting
Apprentice, she's been writing copy and proofreading, reading and
web copy editing - it's encouraging to think I'm not the only one
here thinking about the vortex that is the world-wide-web!
And finally, there's me (Angus Macalister, 19, from Wilmslow).
I'm the Digital Planning Apprentice. I've been sussing out
Pay-per-click, social media and Digital Marketing. Us in the
Digital department, we're the 'tech pilots' of IAS B2B. Recently,
I've been researching European and Global online magazines for
clients to advertise in.
As far as I can tell, we're all ecstatic with these
Apprenticeships and how they've gone so far. I get up at 8am each
morning looking forward to the day - enough said.
So watch out, B2B for the new thing coming your way. Crew
Apprentice.
