Explosive following for IAS ash map
16 April 2010
As volcanic ash clouds from Iceland bought UK airports to a standstill yesterday, IAS’ very own ‘golden twit’ and client services director, Jeremy Bramwell, kept the country up-to-date with news of the increasing ash fall via his very own ash map.
The popular 'UK Ash Map' has now been viewed over 1,400 times on
Twitpic, demonstrating the social media faithful's appetite for
news remains fervent, despite the country being submerged by
ash.
The ash map is the latest innovation from Jeremy, the
self-confessed Twitter addict, otherwise known as 'adventurebaby',
who has, in recent months, kept his strong following entertained,
yet informed. He charted the arrival of spring, via the 'UK Daff
Map' in March, and also famously mapped out the deep freeze which
gripped the country early in the New Year, with the 'UK Snow
Map'.
