IAS takes home the vinegar at the Chip Shop Awards
10 June 2011
IAS b2b Marketing, the UK’s leading B2B agency, has scooped a ‘vinegar’ at this year’s Chip Shop Awards, the awards scheme notorious for holding no boundaries and recognising that the best ideas don’t always fall within the rules.
IAS were awarded the commendation for its tongue in cheek spin
on Carling's 'You know who your mates are' campaign, titled 'Moats
Mates', in the 'Best remake of an existing ad' category.
IAS's creative expertise was further showcased, with nominations
in categories 'Best use of ambient media' for its 'Nintendo 3DS' ad
and 'Best use of a shop window postcard space' for its ad titled,
'Lazy'.
The awards scheme, renowned for encouraging creative minds to
pull no punches, offers creatives the opportunity to showcase their
talents without constraint.
Reuben Webb, creative director at IAS, commented: "The fact is,
creatives are a rare breed, and creativity needs to be nurtured.
The Chip Shop Awards are all about fostering those talents and
recognising that sometimes the most creative ideas don't conform to
the rules.
"To be commended is testament to our commitment to developing
and nurturing talent at IAS, and The Chip Shop Awards provide the
perfect platform to showcase our creative strengths to the rest of
the world. We encourage thinking outside of the box, and quite
frankly when it comes to generating new ideas, the more shocking -
the better!"
